Remote home care

Remote home care supports you with independent living at home and encourages you to utilise your own skills and resources. In practice, remote home care refers to a service where your home visits are carried out via video calls. Remote home care is a part of home care services, and the visits are conducted according to your care and service plan.

Remote home care helps you with things that you can, with a little guidance, do independently. For example, during remote home care sessions we may:
- monitor your health and well-being
- supervise the taking of medication
- guide you in measuring your blood pressure
- guide you in measuring your blood sugar level and injecting insulin
- exercise together
- remind you to have your meals.

Remote home care is subject to a fee. The fee includes a tablet computer for making the video calls. Besides remote home care sessions, you can also use the tablet computer to stay in touch with your loved ones. Our staff will show you how to use the tablet computer.

You can apply for remote home care via Senior Info or home care services.
