Assistance services for the elderly

We help the elderly live independently at home by providing them with assistance in running errands.

Assistance services can support you in coping at home when your ability to function has deteriorated in such a way that you need the help of another person to perform tasks. You will receive the service when you cannot use self-financed services or volunteers or if you do not have any relatives or loved ones who could help you. The service includes assistance in running errands together with the customer, assistance in outdoor activities, small yard work/shovelling snow, small home repairs, household tasks and laundry. The service is discretionary and granted on a temporary basis on the basis of a service needs assessment and the criteria for granting the service. The service complements your other home services. The service is subject to a customer fee. The availability of the service varies in the well-being services county.

Conditions for receiving the Service

Assistance services can be granted to you if you are a home care client and your functional ability has decreased to the extent that you need the help of another person to perform tasks, and you do not have any loved ones who could help you. The service is discretionary and is granted based on a service need assessment. We primarily advise you to purchase the service from a private service provider.

The service is subject to a charge.
