Podiatry

We provide podiatry services for people whose foot health is jeopardised by an underlying medical condition.

Podiatry is primarily provided for people with diabetes whose foot health is at risk. This group includes people with sensory changes, malposition, circulation changes or wounds in their feet or who have had a lower limb, foot or toe amputated.

A referral is required for podiatry services. The referral is made by a doctor or nurse, and a podiatrist assesses the need for podiatry based on it. You can get a referral from your local health centre.

You can also review self-care instructions for feet(external link) (in Finnish).
