Dental care for students
We offer oral health examinations and necessary follow-up care for students.
Students of upper secondary schools, vocational institutions, universities of applied sciences as well as universities are entitled to oral health care services. Regardless of their municipality of place of residence, students of educational institutions in the Western Uusimaa well-being services county are entitled to oral health check-ups in public dental care once during the course of their studies. You get an appointment with a student health care dentist or dental hygienist as per the instructions given by the educational institution and well-being services county. People who have accepted a school place and study full-time and continuously for at least two months are considered students. The Finnish Student Healthcare Service (FSHS) is responsible for the oral health of students of universities and universities of applied sciences. The well-being services county is responsible for the oral health care of upper secondary schools and other educational institutions. Mouth illnesses are prevented by means of good self-care. Oral health care services for students include health counselling, oral and dental health examinations as well as treatment as per the individual treatment plan.
Conditions for receiving the Service
Regardless of their municipality of residence, students of educational institutions in the Wellbeing Services County are entitled to an oral health examination once during the course of their studies.
The service is partly subject to a charge.
