Meal service
Meals delivered home help older clients cope independently at home and rehabilitate after an illness.
The meal service is intended for older people unable to buy and prepare food independently or with the help of their family members or eat their meals at service centres. If your nutritional status has been found to be poor or you need good nutrition during your recovery from an illness, the meal service can help you.
The food delivered by the meal service complies with nutrition recommendations and takes special diets into account. The meal service delivers frozen meals for you to heat up to your home. You may also be delivered a food service unit used for storing and heating up meals.
The meal service is subject to a fee. No client fees are charged for the services granted to veterans and disabled veterans.
