Mobility support
We provide mobility assistance when using public transport would place an unreasonable burden on you.
Accessible, well-functioning public transportation-including demand-responsive transport-is the primary way of arranging mobility support. However, mobility assistance can be offered in one or more of the following ways: 1. Guidance and supervised training in using public transport 2. Group transport 3. Reimbursement of reasonable costs for travel by taxi, wheelchair-accessible taxi, or a similar vehicle When determining what kind of support is reasonable, we consider your specific mobility needs, the distance and purpose of each journey, how frequently you travel, and typical destinations for residents in your area.
We weigh both the necessity of the assistance and the cost involved. You can receive mobility assistance for commuting to work or school, as well as for other everyday trips.
