Prevention of homelessness

The aim of preventing homelessness is to identify the risks of homelessness as early on as possible and to focus on concrete guidance and providing support for keeping a home. The target group of the service is primarily persons and families who are at risk of becoming homeless due to e.g. the threat of eviction, outstanding rent payments, difficulties in managing finances, a need for special support or a crisis affecting housing. Prevention of homelessness is carried out by means of social work and guidance in different services, among other things. We can help you with various concrete matters. Together with you, we will determine your various needs and support options and, if necessary, refer you to a suitable service. We can help you, for example, with looking into your outstanding rent, drawing up a payment plan, negotiating with your lessor as well as cooperating with the authorities and other operators. Preventive support is intended for situations where a person or family is at risk of losing their home. The aim is to solve the homelessness situation with you as quickly as possible by exploring different solutions related to your housing. As a rule, you will be referred to the service by a social welfare professional.

Conditions for receiving the Service

The service is primarily intended for persons and families at risk of homelessness due to - a threat of eviction, - outstanding rent payments, - difficulties in managing finances, - a need for special support or - a crisis that affects housing. Clients are primarily referred to the service by a social welfare professional. The service is provided on the basis of an assessment by a social welfare professional.

The service is free of charge.
