Advisory Committee for the County Council

The County Board is responsible for appointing the Advisory Committee for the County Council, including a chairperson and two vice-chairpersons. The Advisory Committee’s role is to address questions related to the County Council’s work and current issues to be decided within the Council. It also mediates the perspectives of different council groups on matters that are under planning and preparation.

The Advisory Committee comprises the chairpersons of the council groups and their vice-chairpersons, who serve as their personal deputy members. If they are unable to attend a meeting, the chairperson of the Advisory Committee will invite another member from the respective group.

The Advisory Committee meetings are also attended by the chairpersons of the County Board and County Council, the Wellbeing Services County Director, the Director of Corporate Group Services, and the Director of Administration. Additionally, the Director of Service Production and service area directors have the right to attend and speak at the Advisory Committee’s meetings. The secretary of the County Council also serves as the secretary of the Advisory Committee.
