The strategic area of responsibility of the Preparedness and Safety Committee is the overall safety in the Wellbeing Services County. The committee monitors and assesses the risk management, rescue services and the functionality of the service system in the Wellbeing Services County from the perspective of safety.
The committee’s duties are to
guide the strategic work regarding its own area of responsibility and assess the implementation of this strategy on its part,
make statements to the County Board regarding the preparedness plans and the advance preparations of preparing for disruptions and exceptional conditions,
monitor, assess and report to the County Board about the implementation of safety and preparedness arrangements,
guide the preparations for the service level decision of the rescue services,
monitor and assess the legality and effectiveness of rescue services and the realisation of its service level and report on this matter to the County Board annually,
make statements to the County Board regarding the annual review on the realisation of the rescue services and the status of the rescue services’ finances,
approve the self-monitoring plan compiled for the rescue services’ duties and services that fall under the responsibilities of the Wellbeing Services County,
make statements to the County Board regarding the budget of the Wellbeing Services County and monitor the realisation of the budget regarding its own area of responsibility,
make statements to the County Board regarding the Wellbeing Services County’s investment plan,
make proposals to the County Board regarding their own area of responsibility.
