For service providers
Private service providers play a crucial role in supporting our own service production. Here, you can find general guidance on various procedures, including instructions on licencing and notifications.
The Act on the Supervision of Social Welfare and Health Care Services (741/2023), which came into effect at the beginning of 2024, replaces the previous licensing and notification procedures for social and health services with a registration procedure. Consequently, the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County is no longer responsible for matters related to the registration of private social and health service providers.
From now on, private social and health care service providers must submit their registration applications electronically to the Soteri register maintained by Valvira and the regional state administrative agencies. The Soteri electronic service is available in both Finnish and Swedish.
