Information about Wellbeing and health in Western Uusimaa
Wellbeing and health promotion (HYTE) is a shared statutory responsibility between wellbeing services counties and municipalities. Counties promote wellbeing and health within the scope of their legally defined duties.
The Wellbeing Services website at luvn.fi is part of Finland’s national wellbeing and health promotion initiative—the HYTE service concept. The website helps clients and professionals effortlessly find services aimed at improving wellbeing, health, functional capacity, social inclusion, and work capability. The aim is to enhance service accessibility for residents and encourage cross-disciplinary collaboration in the promotion of wellbeing and health.
The HYTE service concept is part of a broader national project funded by the European Union’s NextGenerationEU programme (2022–2025). Its development is coordinated by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) and overseen by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health (STM).
The search engine includes services from municipalities and organisations
The wellbeing services search engine brings together results from Lähellä.fi and the Finnish Service Catalogue (FSC). Thus, the results will show not only the services provided by wellbeing services counties, but also those offered by organisations, municipalities, parishes, and private providers. The site is available in Finnish, Swedish, and English.
In addition to the search engine, the theme pages feature resources and tips on various aspects of wellbeing—including physical activity, nature, mental health, healthy nutrition, culture, and a substance-free lifestyle.
