Greetings from the councils!

We recently organised information sessions for the Elderly Councils, Disability Councils and Youth Councils of Western Uusimaa municipalities. We gained excellent feedback for the further development.
- Youth Councils: Easy access to services is key. It is important that young people receive information about the services available especially through their schools or educational institutions and, for example, on Instagram. Experiences that your friends have had with various services have an influence on where you turn to for help. When providing services, it is also important to consider the fact that young people are individuals and not a unified mass: their situations and needs vary.
- Disability Councils: It is vital that the services provided take into account the client’s overall situation. It is particularly important that services are planned individually for each client from the very beginning. Easy access to services is needed to allow people with disabilities to also access basic services.
- Elderly Councils: Quick access to services is important, and services cannot not only be available through digital channels. As for the service itself, it is important that the staff is competent, service packages are clear and run smoothly and the client’s situation is considered comprehensively.
We would like to extend our thanks to the members of the Youth Councils, Disability Councils and Elderly Councils! Let's keep the communication channels open.
