Remote appointments with specialists also introduced in Hanko and Ingå
Real-time remote consultation is a service in which a specialist doctor can check in on the customer during their appointment at the health centre. The service will now be made available in Hanko and Ingå, as well.
In real-time remote consultation, your health centre doctor contacts a HUS specialist doctor via a video or audio link or chat service during your appointment. A HUS specialist doctor will consult you on your treatment during the same visit and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have and participate in the planning of your treatment.
Real-time remote consultation will be employed throughout Uusimaa. The service is already available in Espoo, Kauniainen, Kirkkonummi, Karviainen, Raasepori and Lohja. Hanko and Ingå will now also have use of the service.
With the help of real-time remote consultation, you can conveniently take care of issues that do not require a visit to the specialist doctor in person. This saves time and effort and eliminates the need to travel.
Real-time remote consultation has thus far been used especially in wound care and neurology. The service is also available regarding sleep disorders, skin diseases and specialist care at the Gender Identity Clinic. Real-time remote consultation for children’s diseases was also started in early March.
