Involving residents in the planning of the Wellbeing Services County’s future services

6.4.2023 11.39

The Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County wants to engage the region’s residents to find out what should be emphasised in future services. During the spring, the Wellbeing Services County will arrange various participatory activities for its residents, personnel and partners, such as the organisations and companies operating in the county.

The Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County invites all residents in the region to participate in the planning of future services and the organisation and reform of the county’s social welfare, health care and rescue services in the coming years. The resulting plan will become the Wellbeing Services County’s service strategy.

What kind of Wellbeing Services County would you plan?

Residents have the opportunity to participate in the planning of social welfare, health care and rescue services via the Wellbeing Services County Game available on the Wellbeing Service County’s website in April. The gamified survey on the services of a future Wellbeing Services County is available at: luvn.fi/en/future.

The Wellbeing Services County Game tasks players to answer a series of questions and explain what should be emphasised in the Wellbeing Services County’s future services. At the end of the game, each respondent will be shown how their planned wellbeing services county would look like in practice.

Allowing everyone to participate in different ways

Residents will also be given the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas in customer interviews organised in connection with the county’s services. Other options include Wellbeing Services County workshops arranged for young people in collaboration with educational institutions, writing challenges and panels for residents.

Residents can participate in Finnish, Swedish or English. The Wellbeing Services County Game is also available in Arabic, Somali, Ukrainian, Estonian and Russian.

For more information on how you can participate, visit the website of the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County at luvn.fi/en/future.

What is a service strategy?

In 2023, the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County will plan its first Wellbeing Services County Strategy. The purpose of the service strategy is to direct the organisation of the Wellbeing Services County’s social welfare, health care and rescue services.  Currently, the County Council aims to make a decision on the service strategy by the end of 2023.

Alongside the service strategy, a decision on the service level of the county’s rescue services will also be planned, and this process will include consultations with residents on how the services should be organised.
