Inclusion is the theme of the Client and Patient Safety Day
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has announced 17 September as the World Patient Safety Day. In Finland, the day is celebrated as the Client and Patient Safety Day.
This year's theme is inclusion. The aim is to engage clients, patients and their loved ones and highlight their meaningful role in client and patient safety.
Clients' perspective and observations are very important when healthcare and social welfare activities are developed to improve their safety and quality. In Western Uusimaa, the client can use the form available on our website to report a safety deficiency or a safety incident they have observed.
