Leppävaara Health Centre honoured as a five-star training location
Leppävaara Health Centre has been honoured as a five-star training location in the Junior Doctors' Association (NLY) Training Location Survey.
Leppävaara Health Centre earned a full 100 NPS points from respondents, meaning that all respondents were willing to recommend Leppävaara Health Centre to their colleagues. NLY presented the award at the Finnish Medical Convention in Helsinki on Thursday 25 January 2024.
“We are very pleased to have received this recognition. The biggest thanks go to our trainer physicians who work hard to support their younger colleagues," say Marja Ahava, Deputy Chief Physician at Leppävaara Health Centre and Paula Pallasaho, Medical Director of North Espoo and Kauniainen.
Ahava says that Leppävaara has been training doctors for more than 30 years. "Leppävaara was one of the first health centres in Finland to start systematic trainer support for trainee doctors. This award is a recognition of all those who have worked as trainer physicians in Leppävaara and developed this work."
What is the Training Location Survey?
The Training Location Survey is a survey of the training conditions of Finnish specialising physicians. The survey assesses the training and supervision received by specialising physicians, and more generally their working conditions and workload at their current training location. The Junior Doctors' Association conducted the first such survey in autumn 2017.
