Changes to client fees in housing services for the elderly as of 1 January 2025

At its meeting on 10 December 2024, the County Council of the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County confirmed the client fees for 2025. In Elderly Services, changes are made, for example, to fees for home care and related support services and fees for communal housing.

As of 1 January 2025, clients in communal housing are charged a service-related basic fee of EUR 70 per month. The basic fee includes activities that promote social skills, a weekly shared sauna visit and tasks pertaining to the organisation of the service.

There are also changes to the prices of meals in communal housing. The new price of the meal package is EUR 374 per month for clients who use the meal service from Monday to Friday. From now on, the fee for a meal package containing meals for the entire month is EUR 561 per month.

From now on, a fee will be charged for individual meals in communal housing according to the table below.

Reductions of or exemptions from client fees

The client can apply for a reduction of a client fee if the fee jeopardises the client’s livelihood.
