Charges of missed appointments without prior cancellation at maternity and child health clinics and in student welfare services for over 18-year-old clients

As of January 2025, the fee for a missed appointment without prior cancellation for over 18-year-olds is EUR 56.70.

The fee for a missed appointment without prior cancellation applies to over 18-year-olds in the services:

• Appointments with a nurse at the maternity health clinic
• Appointments with a doctor at the maternity health clinic
• Appointments in contraceptive counselling (with a nurse or a doctor)
• Appointments with a nurse in student healthcare services
• Appointments with a doctor in student healthcare services
• Appointments in the student welfare psychologist service

A fee may be charged if the client or their representative has booked an appointment for healthcare services (this also applies to remote appointments), and the client has failed to arrive at the appointment without a valid justification (Act on Client Charges in Healthcare and Social Welfare, section 3).

Even if the service in question is free of charge, the client is not exempted from the fee for a missed appointment without prior cancellation.

You need to cancel your appointment by noon on the previous business day.
