Changes to care arrangements for over 16-year-old patients with type 1 diabetes in Lohja, Karkkila and Vihti

The care for over 16-year-old patients with type 1 diabetes at health stations in Lohja, Karkkila and Vihti will be transferred to the Lohja Diabetes Centre from April 2025.

The care for patients with type 2 diabetes remains unchanged.

The Diabetes Centre is located on the first floor at the Lohja Central Health Station, at Ojamonkatu 36, 08100 Lohja.

This change is carried out to develop services and harmonise care practices in the wellbeing services county. Our goal is to improve quality and smooth processes of the care. With a harmonised operational model, we will be able to offer equal, high-quality and comprehensive care to our patients.

• Until the end of March: Book an appointment according to your care plan with your own diabetes nurse, who will guide you to the new service.
• From 1 April 2025: Book your appointment at the centralised telephone service for all diabetes centres in the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County, at 09 4763 6415 on weekdays between 8.00 and 14.00.
• Please note that you should allow sufficient time when arriving to your appointment.
