Access to personal health information in Lunna

28.1.2026 8.09

From late January, users will be able to access their personal health information in Lunna, the digital service platform of the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County. The service will be introduced in stages: residents of Espoo and Kauniainen will be the first to gain access, followed by residents of other municipalities later in the spring.

Personal health information will become available in Lunna on 28 January 2026.

Personal health information will become available in Lunna on 28 January 2026. This new feature is made possible by a joint client and patient information system, rolled out in stages across the wellbeing services county. Residents of Espoo and Kauniainen will be the first to gain access, followed by residents of other municipalities later in the spring.

The aim is to expand the range of personal health information available in Lunna over time. In addition to viewing your own information, you can also access the health information of a person you are authorised to act on behalf of. The following information is currently available:

  • Medical records: entries made by healthcare professionals, excluding oral healthcare
  • Laboratory referrals and test results: most test results are visible immediately, some with a delay
  • Prescriptions: valid and expired prescriptions issued by the wellbeing services county. Prescriptions issued elsewhere can still be found in MyKanta.
  • Appointments: upcoming and past appointments, including related instructions and cancellation terms

Lunna only displays information and entries related to services provided by the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County. For example, entries related to HUS services remain available in Maisa. MyKanta provides a consolidated view of information from both public and private social and healthcare services and is also the easiest way to renew prescriptions.

Economic Management customer service transferred to Lunna

Going forward, non-urgent customer service messages in Lunna can also be used to contact the wellbeing services county’s Economic Management Services. Clients can receive information, for example, on the processing of annual payment ceiling applications, client fee decisions and fee reductions. The change improves data security and provides easier access to services. Acting on behalf of another person is possible without a separate power of attorney, provided that authorisation has been granted via the Suomi.fi service.

In January, professionals at the digital clinic will introduce Lunna care pathways to support the treatment of colds, stomach flu and urinary tract infections. If the client’s symptoms are suitable for self-care, a professional may redirect the client to a digital care pathway. The pathways include self-care instructions and questionnaires that allow clients to assess their own condition. If need be, you can contact a professional through the chat in Lunna or by sending a non-urgent message.
