Should the wellbeing services county contact you if your data suggest a health risk?

14.1.2026 12.21

Healthcare services are undergoing a transformation, becoming increasingly proactive. In the future, wellbeing services counties will have better opportunities to identify health risks at an early stage using patient records and other available data.

Proactive healthcare can mean, for example, reaching out when a person’s data indicate an elevated risk of illness – before the situation becomes serious.

Better support or too much interference?

Proactive healthcare also raises questions. How does it affect the sense of trust and safety? How many of us see anticipation as meaningful and useful and how many as interference in private matters?
