From 23 April, Lunna’s self-booking service and personal information view will expand to be available in Ingå, Karkkila, Kirkkonummi, Lohja, Raseborg, Siuntio, and Vihti.

From 23 April, Lunna’s self-booking service and personal information view will expand to be available in Ingå, Karkkila, Kirkkonummi, Lohja, Raseborg, Siuntio, and Vihti. In addition, from hereon, student welfare psychologists will also be reachable through Lunna.

Lunna’s self-booking service is now available for selected services in all other municipalities in the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County except Hanko, where the feature will be introduced in May. This phased schedule is due to the implementation of a shared client and patient information system.

Appointments for selected services can be booked in Lunna

Clients can use Lunna to book appointments for:

  • an initial maternity clinic appointment (remote appointment during weeks 8–10 of pregnancy)
  • an initial physiotherapy or adult occupational therapy appointment
  • school and student health care appointments: an appointment with a public health nurse or the pre-conscription medical examination.

The range of appointments available for self-booking will later be expanded gradually. For now, most appointments booked independently by clients—such as dental appointments or vaccinations at health stations—are booked through a separate online portal at luvn.terveytesi.fi.

“Self-booking is already being used successfully in many services across our wellbeing services county, and we now want to make things simpler for clients by bringing appointment booking into Lunna. Our goal is that in future all self-booking will take place in one place: Lunna,” says Nelli Myllylä, Director of Development at Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County.

Student welfare psychologists will also join Lunna

Student welfare psychologists will start using Lunna on 23 April. This means that all student welfare professionals can, in future, be contacted through Lunna as well as by phone, email, Wilma, and during drop-in hours.

“It is excellent that Lunna’s non-urgent messaging will now be available across all student welfare services. It is important that people can contact us whenever they have a question or concern. Our professionals reply to messages within three working days,” says Maaret Laine, Service Line Director for Student Welfare and Mental Health Services.
