In our Oima service training, we underscore the necessity for compensation earners and contractors to possess the appropriate tax card.

Oima retrieves tax card information for fee payments directly from the Finnish Tax Administration. Therefore, contractors must have a specific tax card for the applicable type of income registered with the Tax Administration. The usual tax card for salary does not suffice for payments categorized as non-wage compensation.

Contractors must choose the appropriate tax card from the following options:

Tax card for informal care

• Informal caregivers
• Substitute Informal caregivers

Tax card for family care

• Long-term family carers
• Short-term family carers
• Short-term foster families
• Co-guardians
• Support families

Tax card for trade income

• Support persons
• Volunteer support persons
• Mentors
• Experts by experience

You can request a revised tax card from vero.fi(external link). If you submit your request before the 3rd day of the month, we will be able to consider the change in the current month’s compensation payments.
