Dental care for students
We offer oral health examinations and necessary follow-up care for students.
Student oral health services include oral health counseling, a detailed examination of your teeth and mouth, and personalized treatment according to your individual care plan. Students enrolled at educational institutions within the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County are entitled to one oral health check-up during their studies.
Students in upper secondary schools (lukio) and vocational institutions (ammatillinen oppilaitos) receive oral healthcare services from the wellbeing services county. University students & those studying in a university of applied sciences receive their oral healthcare services by The Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS/YTHS).
Conditions for receiving the Service
You are eligible for one oral health check-up during your studies if enrolled at an educational institution within the wellbeing services county.Dental care is free for those under 18 years old.
For those aged 18 and over, services include consultation fees, treatment charges, and costs for dental technician services. These fees contribute to your annual payment ceiling, excluding dental technician costs.
A no-show fee applies for late cancellations by patients aged 18 and over.
Fees charged by the Finnish Student Health Service (YTHS) are determined separately.
