Supported housing for the elderly

We arrange temporary housing when living at home is not possible for a definite period of time.

Supported housing may be a good option for you if you temporarily cannot live in your own home, for example, due to alteration work or a period of convalescence. Supported housing can be granted to people over the age of 65 on social and economic grounds. Customer management of the elderly grants the service as per the customer criteria and agrees on the time and duration of the treatment period with you. The duration of supported housing is fixed-term, and customer management will assess your situation in cooperation with home care. The aim is that you can move into your own dwelling. Supported housing dwellings are city-owned rental dwellings with no personnel. Supported housing includes a pre-furnished dwelling and rent (including electricity + water) as well as essential home care services as per the customer criteria. The supported housing service does not include home care support services, such as meals or security phone services, care and hygiene supplies, medication or clothing. You are responsible for arranging transport to and from supported housing.

Conditions for receiving the Service

Supported housing can be granted if you need a temporary housing solution and support for transitioning to living independently, but you do not have the income or assets to arrange temporary housing on your own. If you need home care services, they will be arranged for you as per the home care client criteria.
