Family work supports the child and family in situations where the child needs social services due to upbringing conditions or conduct problems. It is primarily carried out in the child's home and other family environments. The goal of family work is to strengthen the parents' resources to meet the child's needs, safety, development, and well-being. Family work is social guidance that supports parenting, provides direction in child care and upbringing, and helps manage daily routines and household life. Additionally, it strengthens the family's functioning, supports their communication skills, and helps expand the family's social network. Family work does not require child protection involvement.
