The service supports the client’s functional ability, safety and wellbeing at home. It includes daily living assistance as well as health-related guidance and monitoring based on an individual needs assessment.

The service can be provided either regularly or as a one-time visit. All tasks are planned individually and recorded in the client’s service plan.

The service may include for example:
• home safety assessment
• assessment, guidance and introduction of assistive devices
• assistance with daily activities (dressing, hygiene, eating, mobility)
• meal preparation, light housekeeping and home upkeep
• help with errands and accompaniment to appointments
• assistance or companionship outdoors
• medication reminders and medication administration (as permitted by license)
• wound monitoring and basic wound care
• removal of stitches and postoperative follow-up
• rehabilitative guidance and physiotherapy-based exercises
• ergonomic guidance and safe mobility techniques

The service is delivered with respect for the client’s autonomy, safety and functional ability. All tasks follow professional guidelines and the provider’s care plan.

The service may be provided VAT-exempt if the criteria are met based on a professional assessment. For self-paid services, clients may be eligible for the household tax deduction according to Finnish Tax Administration guidelines.
The service can be purchased privately. Privately paid services may qualify for the household tax deduction.
