Social rehabilitation means enhanced support through social work and social counselling to improve social capabilities, prevent social exclusion and promote participation.

Through social work, you can get help when your own resources are not enough, the following issues are causing challenges and you need long-term help:

- managing financial matters, e.g. paying bills and applying for benefits
- daily routines, e.g. cooking, laundry and cleaning
- taking care of your wellbeing and health, e.g. nutrition, sleep-wake cycle, hygiene or medication
- going out and running errands
- finding meaningful things to do

Social rehabilitation can increase your social interaction, improve your social skills and offer you meaningful activities.

Social rehabilitation is organised individually or in groups. It can also be arranged in the form of work or day activities. At the start of the process, the objectives and length of the rehabilitation are determined together with your personal social worker. You can have meetings every day or once a week depending on the situation.
