Are you interested in becoming a foster parent?
The Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County is actively seeking foster families for children of all ages, for both short-term and long-term placements. Could your family offer a safe home for a child? We invite you to our informational session on 15 January 2024 to explore the possibility of becoming a foster parent.
Are you open to welcoming a child into your life and home? We are hosting an information session on short-term and long-term foster care(external link) on Monday, 15 January 2024 at the Lohja Main Library (Karsuntie 3, 08100 Lohja) at 17.30. Join us for an opportunity to learn more and to discuss family caregiving with professionals and current foster parents.
Information on Training:
You may express your interest in the training. The training sessions will take place in Karjaa at Nils Grabbenkatu 5, 10300 Karjaa. Prior to starting training, interested families are required to complete and submit applications to the Child Welfare Foster Care unit of the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County. Following the application, we will conduct a home visit to evaluate if it is the right time for your family to start the training.
