Service production transferred safely to the wellbeing services county

The client and patient information systems have also been brought into use safely during the first weeks of the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County. However, interruptions and delays have commonly occurred in the services. 

Western Uusimaa is undergoing one of Finland’s biggest ICT change projects, and more than 300 new or transferred information systems have been introduced in the area. Working in the middle of changing systems and usernames has also required extreme flexibility from the personnel. We are thankful for the flexibility that the residents and personnel have shown in the changes of the wellbeing services county. 

The Rescue Department has continued operations as usual after the move to the wellbeing services county. 

 At the beginning of 2023, the wellbeing services county became the workplace for more than 9,000 professionals. Employees are working in the ten municipalities of the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County. 

The first salaries were paid on Friday 13 January 2023 to more than 7,300 employees in permanent employment relationships. The payday for fixed-term employees is the last day of the month. The first salary payment batch amounted to around EUR 15,5 million in total. HR and the entire work community have worked proactively to ensure and check that the payroll information is correct.  

All errors that we have been made aware of, where the salary information would not have been generated at all in the payroll run, have been corrected and these salaries can be paid on 13 January 2023. The employees have been advised to contact their supervisors to fix possible errors. We are also prepared to do extra payroll runs. The shortcomings that were recognised in the first salary payment batch, such as different kinds of errors in the salary supplements or working time percentages are corrected and the missing instalments can be paid in connection to the salary payments on 19 January 2023 and 31 January 2023.
