New content now available also in Swedish on the Ella app
The Ella application is an activity and method database, developed for client work in the operating environments of social welfare and health care. Ella now contains over 300 different types of interesting content, both to support professionals in their instruction work and to be used by clients themselves. Ella is now also available in Swedish!
Janne Kortelainen, Head of the Digital Unit at Disability Services, says that the content on Ella is mainly produced by special instructors from the disability services. They have been working hard on a lot of new content during the spring, and now some of Ella’s content has also been translated into Swedish.
“Our special instructors are involved in the daily instruction work, but they also have special responsibilities and expertise. They produce, for example, multisensory and music content for Ella. We have now also launched the Swedish-language side of Ella and already produced a good amount of content there,” tells Kortelainen.
The disability services are constantly producing new content for Ella, and Swedish translations are also being published.
Ella has two sections: one designed to support professionals in their instruction work and another for clients to use on their own or together with an instructor or other person close to them.
“All the content on Ella is open to everyone. Both sections can be freely explored. Downloading and using Ella is free of charge, and no registration is required,” says Samuli Niemi, the instructor responsible for Ella.
