Check your symptoms easily – a new digital service helps guide you to the right care

In June, residents of Kirkkonummi will be able to try out a new feature in Lunna that allows people aged 18 and over to assess the urgency of a single symptom. The service helps users determine what to do next and where to seek care.

The Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County is piloting a new feature in Lunna that enables users to assess their health by answering a few questions. Based on their answers, users receive an assessment of how urgent their situation is, along with guidance on what to do next. The feature is intended for assessing one’s own situation and cannot be used on behalf of another person.

“Piloting OireApuri, our new online symptom checker, is an important step in the development of our digital services. Our aim is to guide residents to the right help as smoothly as possible, and the user experience gathered during the pilot will help us build even better services,” says Digital Services Manager Hanna Hotakainen.

The online assessment does not replace an assessment by a healthcare professional and does not provide a diagnosis. If your case proceeds to the digital clinic, your need for care will always be assessed by a professional.

This feature is not suitable for emergencies, monitoring chronic conditions or situations involving multiple symptoms at the same time. In life-threatening situations, always call the emergency number 112.

Available daily

OireApuri is available in Lunna every day between 8:00 and 20:00. During the pilot, the service can be used in Finnish and English by Kirkkonummi residents aged 18 and over. A Swedish-language version of the service is expected to be published during June. The digital clinic chat is also available in Swedish.

Lunna OireApuri is a CE-marked medical device.
