Health station services to begin in Karaportti in September
A new service point offering health station services will open in Karaportti, Espoo, on 1 September. The service point supports the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County’s goal of providing every resident with an assigned personal doctor in the future. Before it opens, residents will have an opportunity to explore the facilities at an open house.
A new service point offering health station services will open in Karaportti, Espoo, in September. Before services begin, residents will have an opportunity to explore the new facilities and meet the professionals who will be working there at an open house on Friday, 28 August.
Located at Karaportti 5, the Karaportti service point will serve residents of Järvenperä, Karakallio and Viherlaakso. Residents of these areas will automatically become clients of the service point on 1 September. Clients affected by the change will be notified by text message.
The service point will provide health station services, and every client will have an assigned personal nurse. Personal doctors will be assigned to clients in stages during the autumn. The aim is for clients to receive care from familiar professionals and to ensure the best possible continuity of care.
The new service point forms part of the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County’s broader efforts to develop its services. The wellbeing services county aims to provide every client with a personal doctor by 2030. The personal doctor model is intended to improve continuity of care and strengthen the care relationship between clients and their doctors.
Explore the facilities and meet the professionals at the open house
The Karaportti service point will hold an open house at Karaportti 5 on Friday, 28 August, from 13:00 to 15:30. Visitors can explore the new facilities and meet the professionals who will be working at the service point. The Lunna support clinic will provide guidance on using digital services, and there will be a teddy bear clinic for children.
