Podiatry
We provide podiatry services for people whose foot health is jeopardised by an underlying medical condition.
The Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County provides podiatry services (foot therapy) based on specific referral criteria. These services are primarily intended for clients with diabetes, who are at risk of foot-related issues, such as sensory impairments, dislocations, circulation problems, or wounds.
During a podiatry appointment, a podiatrist will develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to the client’s needs and provide guidance on effective foot self-care. Clients are expected to commit to the recommended treatment plan.
The service incurs a fee for clients aged 18 and above. The fee for a podiatry appointment is EUR 17.30 per appointment.
Access to podiatry services requires a referral from a healthcare professional, such as a doctor, nurse, or public health nurse involved in the client's treatment.
