Western hospital area
The wards of the western hospital area are units for the care and rehabilitation of older people. The area includes Lohja, Karkkila, Vihti, Raasepori, Siuntio, Inkoo and Hanko.
Patients typically come to inpatient care from emergency care or specialised medical care based on a physician’s referral. You must have a need for hospital treatment that, however, does not require specialised medical care.
The ward in charge of your rehabilitation and care is determined according to your needs, regardless of your municipality of residence.
Our rehabilitative approach aims to ensure that the treatment periods at the inpatient wards are short. We want to maintain and strengthen your resources and functional capacity so that you can manage independently.
Lohja has four wards: The Lohja Emergency Ward and Wards 2 and 5, and palliative ward Villa Aura.
The health centre wards cooperate with a discharge team, home care, housing service units and the hospital, among others. The wards also provide end-of-life care. The hospital chaplain is available to patients and family.
