Western hospital area
The wards of the Western hospital area focus on elderly care and rehabilitation. The area includes Lohja, Karkkila, Vihti, Siuntio, Raasepori, Inkoo and Hanko.
The wards usually admit patients based on a doctor’s assessment at the emergency room or in specialised health care. The patient must have a need for hospital care that does not require specialised medical care. The ward in charge of the patient's treatment and rehabilitation is determined according to the patient's needs, regardless of their place of residence.
The Lohja health centre includes four wards: Assessment ward and wards 2, 3 and 5.
Wards 2 and 3 are located at the city centre health centre; the assessment ward and ward 5 are connected to the Tynninharju health centre The wards have a total of 84 beds.
The wards usually admit patients from hospitals or the emergency room.
The health centre wards cooperate with the discharge team, home care, housing service units and hospital, for example. The wards also provide palliative care. A hospital chaplain is available to patients and family members.
Hospital Chaplain Anna–Maija Lakomaa, tel. 044 328 4356, email anna-maija.lakomaa@evl.fi.
