Sobering-up treatment for mental health and substance abuse clients

We provide sobering-up treatment for persons who are unable to take care of themselves due to being intoxicated.

Sobering-up treatment provides intoxicated persons with protection. The aim of the sobering-up treatment is to safeguard the health and security of a person when they are unable to take care of themselves due to being intoxicated. During the short-term treatment, medical staff will monitor how the patient is sobering up and assess the possible need for other treatment. If a need for immediate medical care arises, the patient is referred to other health care services instead of sobering-up treatment. To break the cycle of substance abuse, the patient is encouraged to seek other substance abuse services, such as detoxification. The care staff guide and support you in using other social and health care services as well. You can receive 24-hour guidance and advice on substance abuse treatment by calling the sobering-up station.
