Short-term care for persons with disabilities
We offer you short-term round-the-clock care in a housing unit or in your own home.
Short-term care is arranged for persons with disabilities who need round-the-clock care due to an illness or disability. Short-term care is usually provided in a housing unit (or in family care, which has its own service description). Short-term care for a child with a disability can also be arranged at the child's home.
Short-term care includes round-the-clock treatment and care.
Short-term care can last from a few hours to several months. A significant client group for short-term care is the group receiving care during the informal carer's statutory days off. That is, care periods of 2-3 days once a month.
The purpose of the service is to use short-term care to support the client's possibility of living at home and the coping of the family members.
