Wellbeing for families and young people
You are not alone – support for families with children who face violence
Violence in the family—whether physical, psychological or other forms of abuse—can profoundly affect the wellbeing of the entire family. The situation may trigger fear, shame and uncertainty, but help is available. Support, guidance and opportunities for change are available both for those who have been victims of violence and for parents and children who have used violence. Municipal services, organisations and parishes offer confidential conversation support, crisis work and peer support that can help the family find safety, hope and ways to build a violence-free life.
