A Digital Leap - Introducing the Oima Service
Today, we celebrated the successful completion of the Oima Service implementation project. This new service is set to simplify the daily routines of our contractors, enhance client experiences, and boost the efficiency of the Wellbeing Services County. Oima brings forth user-friendly solutions, enabling us to deliver better services to family caregivers, informal caregivers, and support persons, among others.
Enhancing Client Experience and Boosting Work Productivity
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our clients who have embraced the Oima service with an open mind. Your contributions and feedback have been invaluable. The primary objective of Oima is to simplify communication and service usage, and we are delighted with its positive reception.
With the introduction of the Oima service, our clients can now handle their affairs with greater ease. Oima facilitates smoother communication and quicker information transfer between clients and Wellbeing Services County employees. This ensures our clients receive the services they need promptly and without any unnecessary hassles. Oima is a component of our broader strategy to leverage digital services and technology to enhance our service offerings.
Close Collaboration Yields Surprises and Successes
Today also serves as an ideal opportunity to express our gratitude to our staff. The Oima project has been a collaborative effort involving nearly 200 professionals from all service areas within the Wellbeing Services County. The project’s success is a testament to the strong support from our leadership, exceptional project management, and the substantial contributions from experienced professionals across various fields.
Timo Hokkanen, Service Area Director of the Disability Services states that the project was not really about digitalization, but about improving the management of paid contracts and compensation earners. However, the project evolved into a significant digital leap.
– We are now fully equipped to serve this client base at the Wellbeing Services County, says Hokkanen.
He also highlights several unexpected outcomes of the project.
– We managed to correct for a considerable number of incorrect practices, many of which might have otherwise remained unnoticed. Simultaneously, we standardized a large number of forms, fostered closer collaboration within the new organization, and accumulated more professional expertise in managing contract-based compensation payments.
– Now, we have a stronger foundation for managing compensation-based contracts, and it’s more under our control, Hokkanen adds.
Ongoing Development of the Oima Service
The development of the Oima service is an ongoing process, with full implementation of certain aspects scheduled for the summer. The responsibility now lies with the service areas of the Wellbeing Services County and their day-to-day operations.
– Development work will continue to evolve based on user needs, states Project Manager Merja Tavi-Räisänen.
