The new passenger transport booking service in Karkkila, Lohja, and Vihti

The Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County has introduced a new transport dispatch operator along with new transport service providers. This update will be implemented regionally in phases. 

Rollout schedule for the new dispatch operator and transport ordering service: 

  • from 5 May 2025 for passenger transport in Lohja, Karkkila, and Vihti
  • from 2 June 2025 for passenger transport in Espoo, Kauniainen, and Kirkkonummi
  • from 4 August 2025 for passenger transport in Hanko, Inkoo, Raseborg, and Siuntio. 

We have mailed new client instructions and information about the change to clients between 15-25 April 2025. 

Transport services are provided under the Social Welfare Act and the Disability Services Act for those who cannot use public transport. 

In August, when all clients are connected to the new booking system, all transport bookings for the Wellbeing Services County will be handled through a single dispatch operator: Keski-Suomen Matkojenyhdistelykeskus (KSMYK). 

Transport cannot be booked directly from the driver without a separate decision. For questions related to the decision, contact Disability Services (transport under Disability Services Act) or Senior Info (transport under Social Welfare Act). 

The transport service card will be discontinued in the Lohja, Karkkila, and Vihti on 21 May 2025. However, for students the transport service card will remain valid until 30 June 2025.
