Changes to acting on behalf of another person in Lunna from 27 August

27.8.2026 10.59

From 27 August, when you sign in to Lunna, you will first choose whether you want to manage your own matters or act on behalf of another person. You will also be able to act on behalf of another person on digital care pathways.

In Lunna, you can act on behalf of another person, for example, your child under the age of 18. You can also act on behalf of an adult who has granted you Suomi.fi authorisations to manage their social welfare and healthcare matters. Before you can act on behalf of another person, you must add them to your profile in Lunna.

When you log in to Lunna, you select either your own profile or the profile of the person on whose behalf you want to act. You can switch between profiles later without logging in again.

You will only see information relating to the person whose profile you have selected. This includes conversations, appointments and surveys. If you cannot find a conversation, chat or message thread relating to a video appointment, ensure that you have selected the correct profile.

Responses to forms and surveys will be visible to more people

Following the change, responses to forms or surveys completed in Lunna on behalf of another person will be visible to the person who completed the form or survey, the person on whose behalf the form or survey was completed and everyone authorised to act on that person’s behalf. Please keep this in mind, particularly if your responses contain personal or sensitive information. If a person completes a survey or a form themselves, their responses will remain visible only to them and the professional.

The change applies to forms and surveys completed on or after 27 August 2026. Responses submitted before this date will remain visible only to the person who submitted them and the professionals involved.

Guardians will be able to act on behalf of their children on digital care pathways

As a guardian, you will also be able to act on behalf of your child on digital care pathways. A professional can refer your child, for example, to the Care Pathway for Colds in Children. The ADHD Care Pathway for Children and Young People and the Care Pathway for Dental Care under General Anaesthesia in Children will also become available in September.
