Purposes of processing
The processing of personal data is carried out to meet the employer’s obligations related to the employment contract and to fulfill the requirements stipulated in the fire brigade agreement.
Legal grounds for processing
Article 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union: processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which the controller is subject.

5. Data contents of the register
The register maintains records of equipment issued to employees and their size details. Personal identifiers include the employee’s name, job title, and job position ID (“vakanssitunnus”). Older cards also contain assigned station information.
For members of contract fire brigades, the register holds their name, size, and the specific contracted fire brigade’s name.
6. Regular disclosure of personal data
As a rule, data will not be disclosed.
7. Data retention periods
Data is retained for the duration of the employment contract or for the period of preparedness obligation stipulated in the fire brigade agreement.
8. Sources of personal data
Data for the register is sourced from supervisors and the individuals themselves. For contracted fire brigades, data is obtained from the brigade’s designated contact person. .
