In life-threatening situations, always call the emergency number 112.
In urgent cases
Your local health station – Mon–Fri 8 am–4 pm
Your local health station provides care for urgent health needs on weekdays, Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.
HUS Emergency Helpline – after 4 pm and on weekends
Call your local health station on weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm. If you require urgent care between 4 pm and 8 am or during weekends,, call the HUS Emergency Helpline at the cost-free number 116 117. During the phone call, we will tell you how quickly you should seek treatment and we will direct you to the correct care provider. If you do not need to visit an emergency clinic, we will give you the care instructions over the telephone.
Social and Crisis Emergency Service
If you are in need help and safety in a crisis situation, call the Social and Crisis Emergency Service. We provide help in urgent social welfare situations and in acute, traumatic crisis situations.

We at the Poison Information Centre answer questions related to the prevention and treatment of sudden poisoning cases of people over the telephone. Our service is nationwide and we give advice to citizens and health care professionals 24/7
