24-hour sheltered housing is intended for adults who need round-the-clock and daily help in managing everyday life and taking care of themselves due to a mental health or substance abuse problems.
Our service is suitable for you when outpatient services or communal housing are not sufficient to meet your need for support. The service includes an apartment for which you enter into a lease with the service provider. In 24-hour sheltered housing, you will be provided help and support as needed, in the following:
- monitoring your health
- living free of substance abuse /reducing substance use
- implementation of pharmacotherapy
- monitoring your mental condition
- seeing to your personal hygiene
- nutrition
- maintaining a daily rhythm
- management of your finances
- acting in interactive situations
- independent decision-making
- using services provided by authorities.
The service includes day or group activities. The personnel are present at the residential unit 24 hours a day. They have special expertise in mental health and substance abuse disorders. The aim of the service is to maintain and promote your functional capacity and to help you with rehabilitation, so you can transfer to a form of housing with less support. 24-hour sheltered housing is voluntary, but requires that you want to accept the service and to act in accordance with your service plan. We will regularly assess your service needs. The service is for a fixed period.
Conditions for receiving the Service
The service is intended for adults who need daily assistance in managing everyday life and taking care of themselves due to a mental health and/or substance abuse disorders. You must have a decision on 24-hour sheltered housing issued by a social work professional. The service is suited for you if communal housing is not sufficient for your needs and you need strong support due to mental health or substance abuse problems in both your treatment and rehabilitation. You need support in monitoring your health and coping with everyday tasks, such as pharmacotherapy, hygiene, meals, cleaning and financial matters. In addition, you need support, assistance and a staff member's presence 24 hours a day. You regularly need for help and support at night-time. The need for night-time support or supervision may be related to the monitoring or symptoms of psychological, somatic or substance abuse problems and your state of health.You will find the prices of the service on the site for client fees.
