Organisations offer low-threshold and cost-free help for challenges related to, for example, mental health, addiction and substance abuse.
Mental health and substance abuse organizations are important partners for us. These organizations provide peer support, meaningful activities, social contacts, and low-threshold support. - AA Alcoholics Anonymous(external link) is an international community of members whose goal is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety. Activities are organised in Finnish, Swedish, and English.
- Finnish Association for Substance Abuse Prevention EHYT ry (external link)The national substance abuse helpline offers discussion support, tel. 0800 90 045, open 24/7. The substance abuse ombudsman(external link) provides help and guidance for people who are voluntarily applying to substance abuse treatment or rehabilitation. - Etelän-SYLI ry(external link) offers peer support groups, talks and recreation for people and those close to people who are exhibiting symptoms of disordered eating or are suffering from or recovering from eating disorders. The activities are organised in Finnish.
- Finfami Uusimaa ry (external link)Finfami Uusimaa ry supports the loved ones of individuals with mental health conditions. We cater to families, loved ones, and professionals in the Uusimaa region. We provide various forms of peer support and professional counselling in Finnish, Swedish, and English. Our services are free of charge.
- KRAN rf (external link)is a national central organisation that since 1982 has been working for vulnerable people affected by addiction. KRAN operates five centres where you can get support from experts-by-experience. Support is available in Finnish, Swedish and English.
- Life without crime (RETS)(external link) is a national expert organisation and service provider that promotes the coping and life management of people with criminal justice history and their loved ones. The service is available in Finnish.
- The Finnish Central Association for Mental Health(external link). Supervision of interests, social influencing, and course activities related to mental health. The service is available in Finnish.

- The Peluuri helpline (external link)offers advice and guidance for people with gambling problems on a phone and chat. Support is available in Finnish, Swedish and English.
- Psykosociala förbundet(external link) is a national Swedish-language mental health expert organisation that organises courses and conducts advocacy and preventive mental health work at secondary schools (the YAM programme).

- Sininauhaliitto (external link)is a cooperation network of several organisations working to help people in difficult situations. Specific areas of expertise include substance abuse and gambling harm reduction, addiction work, mental health support, social employment, and reducing long-term homelessness.
