Part-time care for the elderly

We arrange temporary care and treatment for the duration of events, such as the work shifts of the informal carer or relative.

Who is part-time care intended for? Part-time care is a possible alternative for you if you have a temporary need for treatment and care when your informal carer or your close family member/person is out running errands or at work. The aim of part-time care is to promote the informal carers' well-being and support them in their nursing tasks. The objective is to organise the service flexibly even in sudden and unexpected situations involving the informal carer, for example, during a physician's appointment. The service is provided during both day and night, for a maximum period of 12 hours. How do I get into part-time care? If you have a customer relationship with a unit providing part-time care, you can directly enquire the unit of the possibility of part-time care. The unit will agree on the time and duration of the care period with you. The reserved periods are binding. What does the part-time care service entail? In part-time care, you will receive all the basic and medical care services you need. You can participate in meals and other activities as per the unit's schedule. Meals and care are included in the fee. However, you should bring along the care supplies, medication and clothing you need. You are responsible for arranging transport to and from the treatment period.

Conditions for receiving the Service

You can apply for part-time care if you have an informal carer and have been in short-term service housing or participated in daytime activities. The need for part-time care is temporary and has arisen suddenly. Part-time care does not require a decision on support for informal care, and it does not compensate for the informal carer's statutory days off. The prerequisite is that you cannot spend even short periods of time alone at home and that it is not possible to arrange treatment in the form of planned outpatient services (e.g. daytime activities).

The service is subject to a charge.
