Social work and counselling within Services Supporting Employment
Within these services, a social worker or counsellor will thoroughly assess any barriers you face in seeking employment and collaborate with you to overcome them. You don’t need to be registered as an unemployed job seeker to get an appointment. All you need is the desire to take the next step toward employment.
A social worker can support you with financial management, life skills, and creating a stable daily routine. The social worker will stand by your side to explore your options to progress towards employment. You can benefit from the service if you are planning to enter working life or to improve your skills through studies but need support in implementing your plan and make your dreams come true.
The social worker will map out your situation, and, together, you’ll explore options and make a plan to help you progress toward employment, studies, or further services.
