A mother of two small children from Kirkkonummi, Heidi Seppä, is an active user of the digital service platform Lunna when it comes to maternity and child health clinic services. The family includes two children, aged 2 and 3.5 years, with entails quite a frequent use of maternity and child health clinic services.

Lunna has provided Heidi with the possibility to manage appointments, seek advice and easily find all necessary forms. She feels that the service works well and the communication is smooth.

“It is really convenient because I do not have to call at a given time anymore – now I can send a message whenever it suits me best,” Heidi says.

She has used the chat function especially for appointment booking with excellent experiences.

“The replies are quick, and there is no need to keep checking the phone because I have allowed notifications for Lunna on my phone.”

Non-urgent messages have worked well when asking for advice, too: A reply is sent within three weekdays, and the discussion thread is only closed when the matter at hand has been finished.

Video appointments to be introduced in the autumn in Lunna

In the autumn, the traditional remote appointments in Teams will be transferred to Lunna. Heidi feels positive about the online access to maternity and child health clinic services – especially for basic appointments and counselling.

“When your child falls ill, a video appointment is an excellent option – there is no need to cancel your visit and all relevant questions can be discussed despite your child’s illness. Remote appointments might be a useful alternative in other situations, too, for example when you are busy with the children.”

Lunna available in maternity and child health clinic services since April

  • In maternity and child health clinic services, the chat, non-urgent messaging, questionnaires and forms have been available since April this year.
  • After the launch, there have been more than 21,000 discussions in the chat and the non-urgent messaging service of the maternity and child health clinic services.
  • Approximately 6,500 customers have given the Lunna channels an average rating of 4.24 (on a scale from 1 to 5).
  • Video appointments will be introduced in the service on 25 September.
