Counselling in social services available online in Lunna
The digital service platform Lunna of the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County now offers even more comprehensive support to residents. As of 19 November, counselling in social services is also accessible via the chat and the non-urgent messaging service. In addition, Lunna will feature new digital care pathways designed to help clients improve their overall wellbeing.
Counselling in social services provides easy access to help with everyday issues such as income, benefits, crisis situations, family life and support for people with disabilities. The goal is to resolve up to 60 percent of client situations already during the initial counselling stage. If needed, the client will be directed to the appropriate service.
Contacts to the counselling service replace the previously used 'Ask for help' form. Contacting the service does not automatically create a clientship in social services. Clients can also use the chat service anonymously.
“Our goal is to bring social services closer to the residents. Through the chat and non-urgent messaging in Lunna, clients can easily reach out at any time that suits them,” says Sanna Svahn, Director of the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County.
New digital care pathways help you take care of your wellbeing
Lunna will feature new digital care pathways designed to help clients improve their overall wellbeing. These pathways provide coaching on topics such as nutrition, physical activity and sleep. Each pathway is 12–16 weeks long and includes tasks, instructions and videos. The pathways are launched in the web browser version of the platform on 19 November and in the mobile app on 9 December.
There will also be a care pathway for lower back pain, with professional support provided remotely to the client during the entire care process.
“The digital care pathways provide information and support for everyday wellbeing at the client’s own pace. Our aim to make reliable, self-directed help and prevention as easy as possible for everyone,” says Nelli Myllylä, Director of Research, Development and Innovation at the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County.
Lunna is already used by nearly 170,000 residents across Western Uusimaa
Lunna already boasts over 169,000 users, and the platform is growing rapidly. On a scale from one to five, client satisfaction rates are 4.06 for the chat service and 3.89 for the non-urgent messaging service. The service can be used in Finnish, Swedish or English, either in the mobile app or on a computer.
