Annual payment ceiling

The payment ceiling is an annual maximum limit that you pay for public health and social services per year (from 1 January to 31 December). As of 2025, the payment ceiling is set at EUR 762 per calendar year.

Once you reach your annual payment ceiling after using services in the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County, fill in the online form(external link). When you have reached the annual payment ceiling, payments included in the ceiling are generally free of charge until the end of the year.

The payment ceiling is national, encompassing all fees for public healthcare services, including those provided by other wellbeing services counties.

If you have questions about a free card application that has already been sent, you can call the customer fee services at 029 151 2195. The phone service is available on weekdays from 9 AM to 10 AM. The cost of the call will be determined by the pricing of your phone subscription:

  • Local network rate for calls from a landline.
  • Mobile charge for calls from a mobile phone.
  • International call rate for calls from outside Finland.
